Why did you start Volume Orange?
Volume Orange is born out of affection and passion for our physical surroundings, especially furniture and interior design, for craftsman traditions and innovation, and for the potential in recycling and waste.
We feel like our industry could improve - not a little but a lot. We believe the days of mass production in countries far away from end-consumer while shipping “tons” of air across the ocean are over. We hope to move consumers and the global industry towards a more circular and sustainable approach - we call this Planet Care.
Ultimately, we wanted to make a brand that could provide people with the option to surround themselves with delicate and thoughtful design while having the current and future planet in mind.
Where do you manufacture?
Our products are all manufactured in Denmark.
We aim to produce and manufacture as close to our community as possible. We call this the “Global Problem, Local Solution”. Currently, we have our materials manufactured in Italy at a third-generation family-owned facility and our furniture produced in Denmark at independent cabinetmakers. We ensure ethical- and socially responsible manufacturing facilities built on Scandinavian principles.
Why do you not sell / ship outside Europe?
We do not sell or ship our products outside Europe (understood as the EU and the EEA) because of the environmental impact related to transportation of single or few goods. In the future we aim to set up regional production and/or regional stocks, to be able to deliver our creations globally. In the meantime, thank you for your patience.

What does Volume Orange do to be sustainable?
For the purpose of creating a better, healthier and cleaner planet for all living species and for nature, we have created a Planet Care program. This is applied from the first conversation with a designer to the delivery of a product to your door. Read more here.
I wish to cancel my order - 30 days’ return
We will respond immediately and do our best to fulfil your request.
Goods must be returned in the condition they arrived in. We recommend that returned goods are sent via insured, traceable delivery for your protection.

Are your returns free?
Do you wanna know a secret? There is no such thing as a “free” return. If brands are offering “free” returns, it means they have included the pricing of the returns in the price of each product. Clever, huh..?
Not really clever, just less transparent. We don’t believe the many shall pay for the decisions of the few, and therefore we charge you the shipping cost of returning your product.
My order got cancelled - why and what now?
Occasionally, orders or parts of an order are cancelled by our system for various reasons. Some reasons are:
• Item(s) are not available
• Difficulty in processing your payment information
• We cannot ship to address provided
• Duplicate order was placed
If your order is cancelled by us, you will receive a mail which will explain the reason for the cancellation. You will not be billed for any cancelled items. We will do our best to complete any order that was wrongfully cancelled.
How long will it take for me to get a refund?
Once your returned goods arrive at our office (if it was shipped to you), we will normally make the refund within one-two business days. Thank you for your patience!
My product is missing part(s), what do I do?
Please send us a mail at email@example.com with (i) your order number, (ii) a description of the missing parts, and (iii) picture(s) of your order after opening packaging. We will make sure that you receive the missing parts as soon as possible.
I received a wrong product (including wrong colours), what do I do?

What payment methods are accepted?
We accept the following cards: VISA/Dankort, Visa, American Express, and MasterCard, and you may pay with PayPal and Clarna.
Will my card be charged at the time of checkout or time of shipment?
Your card will be charged at the time of checkout.
How is my payment processed?
We are working with well established payment processing company Stripe. All payments are completed with a fully secure connection so you can feel safe.
When will my order be sent and arrive?
Given the product is in stock, we dispatch your product with our trusted couriers within 5-7 business days from your order. After dispatchment, normal delivery time is 1-2 business days within Europe.
The reason behind the short waiting time is that we only manufacture the products once an order is placed; this avoids over production and unnecessary energy consumption related to production.

Which couriers do you use?
We typically ship via trusted couriers including FedEx, DHL, PostNord, and similar couriers.
Can I track my order?
Once you have completed your order online you will receive an mail with your tracking number. Here you can follow the journey of your order.
How do I pick up my product?
Shipment will be sent directly to your address or to a GLS shop, depending on the product and the choice of delivery method. Please notice that some of our products can only be delivered directly to you due to either weight or the nature of the materials included in your order.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship and deliver products within the EU and the EEA (European Economic Area). In time, we plan to deliver our products worldwide.

What does it mean when I “pre order” a product?
This only applies to products marked with “pre order”.
Parts of our product releases are built into three steps: First, we collect orders during a period of around a month and bill you for the product when ordering. Second, we manufacture your desired product(s). Lastly, we ship them pursuant to your prefered way of shipping. You can always check the status (order, manufacture, expected shipping) under each “pre order product” or by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
When will a “pre order” be shipped?
Pre orders are “made to order” which means that we will most often only produce the number of products purchased. The reason will be that we find this to be the most sustainable way of producing the product as we avoid excessive production and avoid emissions related to running warehouses.
A pre order will be made available for orders in a period of a month. Here, we collect all orders for the relevant pre order in question. Each product will state when the pre-ordering period ends.
From when the ordering period ends, we ship within typically 8-10 weeks. Information about this can be found under the relevant product for pre order and we will keep you up to date on your mail.
When will a “pre order” arrive from dispatch?
Typically, within Europe arrival occurs within 1-2 business day(s) from dispatchment.
